Those who left the NAM...

I know several boards for people that got out but none Catholic. I'll probably still visit the ones I used to go to, or started at except back then... ack. Should I or shouldn't I, I don't know.

So you'd like to... Be Catholic But Still Believe in New Age and Aliens/UFOs? at Amazon.

Too bad I didn't know about any of those or ones like that before I did my dumb dabbling. Then again had things creeping in as far back as I can remember. I totally relate especially with 'But the New Age still haunts me.' Every now and then still get a dumb twinge... like yeah, remember when I'd do automatic writing or a dumb pendulum... Wow, realized I'm 5 years out of the junk now. Don't even look at my birthday horoscope anymore... that used to be so 'big' for me, the highlight of the day. Now and then a dumb idea pops in my head 'try it'... no. Still remember being sooo into having to charge my crystals & cleansing them, wanted to learn how to have an OOBE but was harder to do meditation since a freaky thing happened. So much wanted to learn tarot... had one deck I bought twice because I threw it out once and then thought it wasn't bad to be dabbling in the junk so bought it again... only to really get delivered from it & totaled 2 decks at that time.

Still remember a friend's response regarding the freaky junk that happened after the ouija and they said it's just a child's toy, why did you let it affect you so much? That's no toy... those boards should be outlawed but of course someone could make their own. It was a gateway to places I never should have been.

Probably sounds goofy but glad I'm not there anymore.... and yeah had to edit, heard the typos via TTS after hitting send... think I do need my own board again. :-p~~~~ Listen before hitting send...

I guess another thing, you're so much more aware of the battle out there. It goes beyond wars and rumors of wars but the battle for souls as well. Still know people in the NAM be it wiccans, pagans, psychics etc. Haven't seen a lot of them since getting out of it all. I used to run home to see John Edwards after work, that TV medium and when he came out with a book about the rosary I think that lit an anti-Catholic fire in me that I know now was so wrong. But I see his site is still out there advertising his book. The deceiver can't create anything but he sure knows how to twist the truth. It's probably good that I won't be able to watch TV when the signal is switched to digital. I have no equipment capable of handling that and even with a converter box, from what I've read I probably lack the proper connections/ports. I rarely turn my TVs on now.
